Thermoplastic foam casting, also known as structural foam moulding is a technique derived from injection moulding. During the injection moulding process, a chemical foaming agent is injected into the mould to make the plastic foam. This allows us to produce thick-walled, rigid and strong products that can include a number of features. The main advantages of TFC (or SFM) over injection moulding and RIM are a better product and fewer post-production assembly activities.
